What?? 3.0???

What ever happened to 1.0 or 2.0?

3.0 is referring to the new iPhone software. I have currently installed it on my iPhone. I have to say, I like what I’m seeing. One can tilt the iPhone so that the keyboard could be used in landscape as well as portrait. MMS messaging is finally available.

But the one thing that I was interested in is the “shake to shuffle”, where you give the iPhone a shake to shuffle to a different song in your music library.

Now why doesn’t that work on your actual computer? lol

Not really a topic that I’d blog about, but I thought I’d write about it anyway.

I was underwear shopping today. When I go shopping for underwear, I make sure that the underwear I buy looks comfortable.

Anyway, I went in a known department store to check out the underwear that they have in stock. I had been to other stores before, just browsing around before I buy. There was one thing that got me thinking with this particular underwear. It cost almost Aust$50 for one pair.

Now, I’m not sure about the rest of you.. But a $50 underwear??? What does it have that other underwear doesn’t? Does it spray scented cologne on your privates as soon as it detects a bad odour? Were they tested in space for wear and tear?? Oh, do they make your bums look nice and firm?

With maybe the exception of the last question, the answers would be no…

I gathered that the consumer is paying for the brand name. As I see it, the men’s underwear that I compared are the same as the $50 pair.

I ended up buying Bonds instead.. 3 pairs for $60 (I don’t wear briefs, just fyi).

I’ve been thinking about it for a while.. and tonight I have made a decision…

Ever since I graduated from university, I’ve been receiving information about teaching in the UK. Every year, I receive calls from them, and every time I decline because I wanted to work locally.

After much thought, I’ve decided to take the plunge and teach there next January.

It’s not like if I went there just after graduating.. I know what the schools there are like (at least the schools that they’ll transfer you to). In all honesty though, working in the tough schools would help me develop professionally.

Knowing my family and friends, they would be both happy and worried for me. But think of it this way.. If I’m still there in 2012, you’ll have a place to stay during the Olympics. ^.^
