New Decade

January 1st, 2010 No Comments

As I sit in my room, I think about the events of 2009. Overall I think that I had a good year last year. Some highlights that stood out would have to be my trip to New Zealand and the US.

Flying to New Zealand was exciting for me because it was my first time flying there. The fact that my flight getting there cancelled on me at the last minute is insignificant compared to the people that I met and the places I’ve seen while I was in Auckland. Seeing my friend Seamonkey again was also a highlight for me. The last time I saw her would’ve been at the Sydney gathering the year before. She ended up working in New Zealand and I promised her that I’d come visit.

Flying back to the US was also one of the significant events of 2009 for me. I flew over to celebrate my birthday over there.

Double digits.. haha

I also visited the more touristy places in San Diego and even celebrated Halloween there (something we never do here in Australia). I also visited my relatives in Chicago for a week. I loved every minute of it.

Work had been decent in 2009. Which is why I was able to travel to two destinations last year.

It is now the start of a new decade. I am excited about what will come my way this year. One particular thing that comes to mind would be potentially working in the UK.

I’m not sure if it will happen.. I practically have a contract already.. The only thing that I need to sort out would be my work visa, etc.

If this does not happen, I have things that I can fall back on for this year.

Either way, I’m up for whatever 2010 throws at me.

I realise that I haven’t been posting much on my blog.

I thought I’d share what I’ve been doing the past month.

I know I haven’t been writing much in my blog. Practically been busy working, which is always good.

These past three weeks, I’ve been working full time, but not under a contract. I don’t think this has happened in my years in the field.

Not long now until I fly out to the US. I’m excited to fly back and see my friends again.

Sorry this blog is short, as I’m on my way to work as I write this. =)

Multitasking ftw!!

Sian

Chani’s friend Sian offered to drive us around Auckland (outside of the actual CBD). She took us to see Mission Bay, had beer and pizza at Garrison’s, visited One Tree Hill, visited the North Shore, visited Devonport.

One Tree Hill

We then came back to the hotel where Chani and Sian got to drinking and had a girls night out. I stayed behind because I was feeling a bit sick.
