It’s funny how I have this blog but I have not been maintaining it for a while now..

Not much is happening so far this year. Caught up with friends mostly.

The whole UK thing is still up in the air.. I am keen on going over and working, but at the same time I’m being held back here (for reasons I prefer not to get into). If it does not happen, I know I have a definite job to fall back on here (at least in the second half of this year).

As I sit in my room, I think about the events of 2009. Overall I think that I had a good year last year. Some highlights that stood out would have to be my trip to New Zealand and the US.

Flying to New Zealand was exciting for me because it was my first time flying there. The fact that my flight getting there cancelled on me at the last minute is insignificant compared to the people that I met and the places I’ve seen while I was in Auckland. Seeing my friend Seamonkey again was also a highlight for me. The last time I saw her would’ve been at the Sydney gathering the year before. She ended up working in New Zealand and I promised her that I’d come visit.

Flying back to the US was also one of the significant events of 2009 for me. I flew over to celebrate my birthday over there.

Double digits.. haha

I also visited the more touristy places in San Diego and even celebrated Halloween there (something we never do here in Australia). I also visited my relatives in Chicago for a week. I loved every minute of it.

Work had been decent in 2009. Which is why I was able to travel to two destinations last year.

It is now the start of a new decade. I am excited about what will come my way this year. One particular thing that comes to mind would be potentially working in the UK.

I’m not sure if it will happen.. I practically have a contract already.. The only thing that I need to sort out would be my work visa, etc.

If this does not happen, I have things that I can fall back on for this year.

Either way, I’m up for whatever 2010 throws at me.

I know I haven’t been writing much in my blog. Practically been busy working, which is always good.

These past three weeks, I’ve been working full time, but not under a contract. I don’t think this has happened in my years in the field.

Not long now until I fly out to the US. I’m excited to fly back and see my friends again.

Multitasking ftw!!

..or was it “unawares”… I can’t really remember the song.. lol

Not really a topic that I’d blog about, but I thought I’d write about it anyway.

I was underwear shopping today. When I go shopping for underwear, I make sure that the underwear I buy looks comfortable.

Anyway, I went in a known department store to check out the underwear that they have in stock. I had been to other stores before, just browsing around before I buy. There was one thing that got me thinking with this particular underwear. It cost almost Aust$50 for one pair.

Now, I’m not sure about the rest of you.. But a $50 underwear??? What does it have that other underwear doesn’t? Does it spray scented cologne on your privates as soon as it detects a bad odour? Were they tested in space for wear and tear?? Oh, do they make your bums look nice and firm?

With maybe the exception of the last question, the answers would be no…

I gathered that the consumer is paying for the brand name. As I see it, the men’s underwear that I compared are the same as the $50 pair.

I ended up buying Bonds instead.. 3 pairs for $60 (I don’t wear briefs, just fyi).
