When I first started aussieninja.com, I also unknowingly kicked off another journey – my fitness journey.

It all started back in 2017 when I joined Zap Fitness (which was still called Jetts Gym back then). I was excited, but honestly, I had no idea what I was doing. That’s when I reached out to Kaine Blake (Instagram). He was the first trainer to guide me, and through his coaching, I started learning the foundations of proper training.

Fast forward to April 2019, I made the switch to Anytime Fitness. I was looking for more flexibility—literally and figuratively—so a gym with global access just made sense. A month later, I began working with Daniel Szagorski (Instagram). Daniel helped me understand the importance of being in a caloric deficit and tailoring nutrition to support my goals. Over time, he became more than just a trainer. He became a good mate. Even if we live in different parts of the world.

Later on, I worked with Dr. Ben Peterson from Aspire Fit (Instagram). Training with him brought in the science behind the sweat. I started to grasp the ‘why’ behind the movements, which added a whole new layer of motivation and understanding.

In 2021, I did a 5-week program with Alec Ohlaker (Instagram). That’s when I really dove into the macro side of nutrition. He also welcomed me into his fitness community, where I continued learning and staying motivated.

In 2022, I wanted someone more local and connected with Christopher Timmins (Instagram). Chris helped me take my confidence and my training to the next level. Even though I’ve finished training with him, Chris still checks in and supports me like a true coach and friend.

This journey has been a slow, steady evolution. I’ve gained strength, knowledge, and more importantly, confidence in myself. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and grateful for everyone who’s helped me along the way.

And the journey’s not over.
